UNC Charlotte’s campus makerspaces and fabrication labs welcome and celebrate all kinds of making. We hope these maker environments inspire innovative and creative learning, conceptual and design thinking, experimentation, and discovery You’ll find all kinds of ways to engage your creativity, even if you’re new to making. If you have an idea, you can make it happen here, but if you’re not there yet, come in and play until you are!

About the Spaces

Some spaces are only open to students in specific majors, but any student, faculty, or staff member can be trained on the tech in the open maker environments. These open spaces’ offerings range from 3D printers, laser cutters, circuitry components, sewing machines, and software for design and fabrication, to clay, paper, fabric, and more. Check out the individual spaces for more information on operations, specific technologies and supplies, how to get access, and more.
